Champagne | Portland Wedding Photography

A collection of my work is on display at Champagne Wedding & Event Coordination for the next month!

I was delighted to see the Champagne team’s lovely new space in the Pearl District, and hang some wedding photographs on the wall (in addition to creating a slideshow that will run on a sleek flatscreen below the collection).

The collection on the wall is from a sundrenched summer Celebrate the Dress session I did with Erika and Michael last year; being surrounded by all these prints *almost* transported me back to that hot summer evening… before one of Portland’s classic April hail showers broke my reverie, that is….

More on Two Bright Lights | Portland Wedding Photography

I’m still tinkering with Two Bright Lights this week, taking advantage of its one-month free trial to explore its functionality as a tool for wedding photographers to submit work to blogs for special features. Since brides get most of their ideas online these days, having your work published on blogs is a great way to connect with new clients who love your style… but the work of submitting can be time-consuming and arduous at times.

Two Bright Lights | Portland Wedding Photography

I’ve been toying with Two Bright Lights this week, exploring its functionality as a tool to share wedding photography inspiration boards and slide shows. Two Bright Lights offers a pretty slick inspiration board creation tool that sidesteps toiling in Photoshop… it’s got some limitations, but it’s been fun to play with. Here’s a little sample I created in just a few minutes using TBL. This images are from Carrie & Jason’s beautiful wedding at the Jupiter Hotel last year.

Belle’s Favorite Photographs | Portland Wedding Photography

It’s always fascinating to find out which images are most meaningful to the couple; they’re usually not the “rockstar shots” –or the posed group portraits, for that matter– they’re usually unexpected photographs with a special, hidden story. It’s wonderful to learn the hidden stories that make images mean something unique to each client. So recently, I invited a few of my clients to share their favorite wedding images with me. Actually, I specifically asked for their very favorite image (just one!). I got some great answers (more coming soon)! Edgefield Love Session | Portland Wedding Photography

This Love session at McMenamin’s Edgefield was muddy and raw and delicate in all the ways spring is in Portland, Oregon. M & I are so sweet and so obviously in love, and it was a pleasure tromping around in the mud and puddles with them. These two had had a small family wedding earlier in the week…
